NEW eXtension Resources
NEWBio's eXtension Resource Website has added four important items that will be of interest and assistance to those working in the biomass and bioenergy fields.

As a section of commercial willow bioenergy fields must be designated as unplanted for machinery use, a research study was written about maximizing planted area and biomass production in shrub willow bioenergy fields. To manage the finances for the willow biomass produced, SUNY-ESF developed EcoWillow and has since provided anupdated EcoWillow 2.0 for financial analysis of willow biomass.

In the new eXtension case studies, we took a closer look at ReEnergy Holdings LLC and their use of recycled willow in the generation of electricity. Another study examined Renmatixand how they have turned biomass into industrial-use sugars. [Image: The Plantrose Process by Renmatix]
